I am a big Anderson fan so i know it will be a quailty fun film. That might take care of age complaints, but again, I am sure people will just complain about something else.Īnyway, is there more info about his role in TFD? That's what I am most anticipating him in. He looked young and fresh. They looked compatible If they were to do the sequel, I think it's just about finding the right balance with their looks. The interview where Hammer joked about going on tour with Beyonce is a good example. Also(and this isn't a Charmie thing, so relax) during the press tour there were many times where they looked complimentary and the age difference isn't so apparent or drastic. With his beard shaved or a bit of scruff, and some hip clothes, he looks his age and fresh like how he appeared during the first screening of OTBOS. If he's got a beard, some booze bloat or a certain hairstyle, he looks a bit older than his actual age. He was supposed to be 24 but was dressed like a suburban dadīut then you look at the way Chalamet looked at TIFF in that black floral suit,or when he was sporting that awful mustache during his Jersery Shore look at one of those other BB film premieres, and he looked SO much more mature than the kiddish Elio.

But sometimes the hairstyle he had in the film, plus the big stuffy looking clothes also aged him more too.

I never bought those complaints that he looked mid thirties are older. I thought Hammer looked no older than thirty in CMBYN. The clothes he wore were very childish, and he way he acted also added to his extreme youthfullness. It's so interesting how your hairstyle, clothing choices, and just the way you act can drastically alter your physical appearance or just your perception of someone's age. The age appearance still might be a thing too. They'll just move on to a predator complaint or brainwashed damaged love slave or whatever ala R Kelly and whanot. Yeah, I think people who had a problem with the age gap and pedophilia aren't gonna care if the characters are older in a sequel. I would selfishly like them to keep their friendship private and not do any projects together just to spare me the agony of encountering or reading about the haters craziness. It just brings out the crazy in certain sections of the fandom that is so tiring. This is why although I am a big fan of the two, I just don't like to see them associated together anymore. And it's unfortunate cause Chalamet does seem very kind, appreciative and respectful about a lot of things and undeserving of that kind of backlash.

The other again is the way some fans obnoxiously carry on about him while knocking down others. There's a reason DL celebrated Chalamet's lack of Oscar nom for BB. I feel bad for Chalamet because even though how some of your most overzealous crazy fans act should not be a reflection on him, it is certainly the case that people transfer their dislike of a celebs fans unfairly onto the actual celeb himself. I just don't get the ones that push the narrative that Hammer is using Chalamet, is jealous of him, or that Liz is the most horrible being hellbent on sabatoging Chalamet, or are furious that Hamme is making Chalamet suffer by not getting a divorce and the list just goes on and on. I am not on any SM and never have been, so all my knowledge of stans' activities come from these threads and it still blows my mind some of the stuff these Hammer haters have said. It really is one of the most baffling things I have seen.
